This policy describes information handling for Jolbox.com, including the current browser-based tools and advertising that is planned but not implemented in the reviewed website.
1. Website and scope
Jolbox.com offers free calculators, converters and generators, primarily for US visitors. You can contact Jolbox about this policy at [email protected]. This policy covers the website; external websites and your own browser or email provider have their own practices.
2. Information you choose to provide
If you email [email protected], your message may include your email address, name, message content and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to handle your question, investigate an error, consider a suggestion or respond to a privacy request.
There is no website contact form or user account system in the current implementation. A mailto link opens your email application; it does not send a message until you send it through that application. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
3. Technical information and hosting
Loading a website requires technical requests. Hosting, delivery and security infrastructure may process information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, referrer and error or access-log details. This information may be used to deliver pages, diagnose problems and protect the service.
The intended deployment is to Hostinger. Actual logging, security services, processing locations and retention depend on the production hosting configuration. Browser-based calculations do not mean that visiting the website creates no technical data.
4. Calculator inputs and results
The current calculation code runs in your browser. With JavaScript operating normally, the inspected calculator handlers prevent form submission and do not send entered values or results to a calculator server or external API. The code does not save those values in cookies, local storage, session storage or a Jolbox account. Values are held in the page during use; your browser may retain form values through its own history or autofill features.
If JavaScript is disabled or fails, browser-default form submission may place some entered values in the page URL, which hosting infrastructure can receive and log. Do not enter sensitive personal information in calculator fields.
Where a Copy Result button is available, choosing it writes the displayed result to your device clipboard through your browser. The site does not read your clipboard. Information you paste into another application is handled by that application. Emailing us calculator values or screenshots shares the contents of that message with us.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The current website code does not set cookies, use local or session storage, or include analytics or advertising trackers. It does not implement a cookie banner or consent management platform. Your browser can store site files in its ordinary cache; that is separate from saving calculator entries in website storage.
Hosting infrastructure or services introduced later may have different behavior. Any such production changes need to be reflected in the relevant disclosures and choices. You can review, block or clear cookies using your browser settings, although blocking storage can affect services that rely on it.
6. Service providers and third parties
Delivering pages and handling email can involve hosting and email service providers. They may process technical requests or correspondence needed to provide those services. The current source does not identify an analytics provider, embed a third-party contact form or call an external calculation service.
Links to reference material, including NIST and W3C pages, are ordinary external links rather than embedded services. Following a link makes a request to the destination website. See that provider’s privacy information for its own data handling.
7. Planned Google AdSense advertising
Jolbox plans to use Google AdSense. No AdSense ad code or active Google advertising integration was found in the reviewed website source. This section explains the planned advertising model; it does not state that advertising cookies are currently operating on Jolbox.
If AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on previous visits to Jolbox and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize advertising using browsing activity.
Google services may receive technical information such as the page URL and IP address when their advertising code runs. Advertising may also involve measurement and fraud-prevention processing. The actual vendors, ad settings and applicable consent choices must be disclosed when the integration is configured.
8. Advertising choices and consent
You can review Google’s personalized-ad settings through My Ad Center. Turning off personalization does not necessarily prevent all advertising-related processing, including contextual advertising, security or measurement. Browser cookie controls provide additional choices but are not equivalent to a site-specific consent choice.
Jolbox does not currently provide an on-site advertising consent control. Google-certified CMP requirements, regional privacy messaging and ad-provider choices will be configured separately if advertising is introduced. Before ads are enabled, the implemented controls and disclosures must match the regions served and the chosen services. If other ad vendors participate, their identities and relevant policy or choice links will also need to be disclosed.
9. Data retention
Calculator entries are not deliberately persisted by the current application. Email correspondence and infrastructure records are different: retention depends on the reason for keeping a record, the services involved and applicable obligations. Retention periods vary with the record’s purpose, service-provider settings and applicable requirements.
Contact [email protected] to ask about information you have supplied or to request deletion where applicable. Retention or deletion may also depend on security needs, legal requirements and the relevant provider’s procedures.
10. Security
No website, email system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information, and use care when sending attachments or pasting results into another service. Security controls provided by the production host or email service depend on their actual configuration.
11. Privacy requests and rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or exercise applicable advertising opt-out rights. These rights can be subject to exceptions and verification.
Send a request to [email protected] describing what you need and how you interacted with the site. We may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence or record and verify the request. You may also have a right to contact your local privacy regulator. This policy does not assume that every law or right applies to every visitor.
12. Children’s privacy
Jolbox is a general-purpose tools website and is not directed to children under 13. It does not provide child profiles or require an account. If you believe a child has sent personal information through email or another contact channel, contact [email protected] so the matter can be reviewed. Do not send more information about a child than is needed to explain the concern.
13. External links
External websites operate independently of Jolbox. Their privacy policies and settings apply when you visit them or use their services. A link does not make Jolbox responsible for a third party’s practices.
14. Policy updates
This policy may change when website features, service providers, advertising or applicable requirements change. The last-updated date identifies this version. Review the policy again when deciding whether to use a new feature or service.
